What is autoclave service?
As required from manufacturers, autoclaves need to be serviced to ensure most important parts, such as door gasket, bacterial HEPA filter, pumps, solenoid valves are properly maintained to avoid faults or breakdowns. Most of autoclaves need service annually. But it depends on the frequency of use and type of autoclaves.
What is autoclave calibration?
Calibration is to ensure that the measuring output from autoclave’s temperature sensors, pressure gauge are accurate, the values on display or print out are true. This is performed by comparing the reading of autoclave sensors to a precisely calibrated device whose response is traceable to a national reference standard.
What is autoclaves validation?
Validation is the process of repeated checks made by the staff of the practice to ensure the process is continually achieving the desired end result. Appropriate procedures must be followed from start to finish to achieve and maintain sterility. The sterilization cycle should be validated for all routine loads and protocols followed for cleaning and packaging.
